Our company’s business is old wood and all products from old wood, such as hand-hewn beams and rafters, surfaces from old beams, sun-burned planks, three-layer panels, original floorboards, etc.
BEAMS AND RAFTERS
Our old wooden beams and rafters are at least 150 years old. Wood comes from old buildings, mostly farmhouses, warehouses, mills, breweries, granaries, churches and monasteries. The material is mostly spruce, pine and fir, rarely even larch, oak or ash.
Types of structures
Rafters – from 10×12 to 18×16 cm in lengths from 1,50 to 9,00 m
Beams – from 18×20 to 28×34 cm in lengths from 1,50 to 12,50 m
Modifications of the material
Our materials do not contain nails or other metals. The ends are cut into a healthy material. The beams are supplied in bundles of corresponding lengths that are held by a steel strip. The maximum load on the truck is about 45 m3.
SURFACES OF HAND-HEWN BEAMS
Cropping the old hand-hewn beams makes the original surface used both indoors and outdoors. This surface is a guarantee of the original work of old carpenter masters showing the effects of weather and aging wood oxidation. Their appearance, structure and patina of these surfaces create the charm and nostalgia of previous times in modern buildings as well.
We plan the starting surface of the hand-hewn beams by default at a thickness of 30 mm. Another thickness can be made as needed
SUN-BURNT PLANKS
These planks come mostly from the outer lining of old farmhouses, barns, and haystacks. Combined with the effects of wind, rain and the sun for hundreds of years, it gets its original color and surface. The result is an inimitable color shade:
silver gray, dark gray, honey brown, dark brown, black.
3-LAYER PANELS
Our three-layer old wood panel is made using original surfaces of old handmade beams and sun-burned planks. The middle and bottom plies are also made of old beams. The top layer is the original surface. This board is a three-layer glued sandwich with outer layers composed of a continuous plate glued longitudinally. The middle layer is glued across at an angle of 90 °. For this reason is the board highly resistant to bending and twisting.
Technical Specifications
Panel thickness is standard 24 mm. According to the customer’s requirements it is possible to produce from 18 mm up to 60 mm.
Panel width is standart 1.22 m, but can be from 50 cm.
Panel lengths are from 1.5 m to 4 m.
